If you enjoy writing articles, stories, blogs and so on,
some websites will help you to sell your work, or share advertising
revenue with you for the right to use your work on their sites.
The beauty of sites you can monetize is that once you have created your
work, you can sit back and let it earn money for you without ever having
to do another thing!
These are some examples which have generated extra income for me.
Creating a Hub is fun and profitable. You choose a topic and make a
webpage about it using the tools provided. It is easy, and you don't
need any knowledge of website design. You can also include pictures, videos, links and
more. Your HubPages account allows you to insert your own affiliate information for
Google Adsense and
Amazon. (You
don't have to have affiliate accounts with all these companies - it will
just increase your income if you do.) HubPages then shares revenue with
you when people click on your ads. You will be paid directly by your
affiliate programs.

This site allows you to create lenses, similar to the Hubs in HubPages. It
takes very little time to create a Squidoo lens, and you will share in
revenue collected by Squidoo when people click on ads on your page.
You can go back and update/change your lenses whenever you like.
You can create a lens to sell your products or service, to generate
traffic to your website, to make extra money for yourself or a charity (or
both), or just for the fun of writing it.
This service allows you to upload original content for sale. All
material must first be submitted for approval, so the standard of the
website is good. You decide whether you are selling your work
for multiple uses, for a one-off use or whether you are prepared to allow
the buyer to claim your work as his own. You will also have access
to requests for specific articles required by buyers (although there is no
guarantee that they will buy your finished product). Your writing
can be on any topic - if there is no section for your work, simply create
one. You can even sell original photographs.
